Google is proud to boast a network that provides service to millions of Internet users around the world. The Network Engineering team is responsible for operating that network reliably and at scale. As a member of the team, you have a direct impact on design and feature enhancements to keep our systems running smoothly. You also ensure that network operations are safe and efficient by monitoring network performance, coordinating planned maintenance, adjusting hardware components and responding to network connectivity issues.

Google's complex network generates a constant stream of challenges which require you to continually be innovative with an evolving set of technologies. Keeping the network reliable ensures that our users stay connected with our suite of applications, products and services.

Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.

Responsibilities Support and participate with Design teams, Deployment teams, Peering Negotiators, and Planners as needed to deliver end-to-end connectivity to the Google network. Work with Core, Transport, and Edge teams to translate common network solutions into standard and scalable BOMs and detailed design packages for select internal and/or third parties to execute across multiple sites simultaneously, while providing technical support. Work with the NetDeploy Automation and BusOps teams to translate common network solutions into scalable and repeatable "stateless" work packages for third party provisioners and project coordinators. Generate and update documentation and implementation plans (DPKs) while providing technical leadership and guidance during deployment activities, and updating and maintaining records as needed. Execute and troubleshoot capacity workflows for edge network devices in new and existing network nodes across Google's global network. About the Company

Since our founding in 1998, Google has grown by leaps and bounds. Starting from two computer science students in a university dorm room, we now have thousands of employees and offices around the world. These Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe.

It starts with how we work together. We’re building a company where people of different views, backgrounds and experiences can do their best work and show up for one another. A place where every Googler feels like they belong.

So whether you develop new technology or creative campaigns, craft beautiful products or breakthrough partnerships, your work here is a chance to accomplish things that matter. Bring your insight, imagination, and healthy disregard for the impossible. Bring everything that makes you unique. Together, we can build for everyone.
