Network Engineering Manager

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Network Engineering Manager.


In this role, you will:

Manage and develop team of individual contributor roles with low to moderate complexity and risk in Network Engineering areaOversee the support of company's computer system, including LANs, WANs, internet, network segments and other data communication systemsEngage stakeholders and internal partners associated with the Network Engineering functional areaIdentify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control developmentTroubleshoot, maintain and repair networked communication system for any kind of issues reported by end-users, and the administration of the systemsEnsure issues are resolved and no hindrances to accessing organizational resources for usersMake decisions and resolve issues regarding objectives and operations of network engineering functional area and team to meet business objectivesInterpret and develop policies and procedures for functions with low to moderate complexity within scope of responsibilityUtilize networking management software and testing tools to fine tune systems and optimize system performance, monitor and implement security measures and streamline network functionsCollaborate with and consult with peers, colleagues and multiple level managersManage allocation of people and financial resources for Network EngineeringMentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent


Required Qualifications:

4+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education2+ years of Leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

Exposure to Data Center / Service provider networking.Understanding Network Protocols - OSPF, BGP, MPLS, L3VPN, EVPN, VxLANKnowledge on Cloud Networking would be a plus.Have worked in Agile methodologies and tools – Scrum and JIRACommunicate and help grow a automation community across the organization.Mentor and upskill our juniors and interns, provide opportunities for growth.Good Social, Oral and Written communications kills are preferred.Experienced in Routing and SwitchingExperience in new technologies such as cloud-based network solutions.Experience with LAN, WAN, WLAN, SDWAN hardware from Cisco, AristaNetwork Planning, Design, and ImplementationExperienced with project coordinationProven experience in initiating and driving end to end process improvement

Job Expectations: ​

BE or equivalent with experience in senior management roles leading large Network Engineering teams for a large enterprise, preferably for Banking and Financial Services organization3 + years’ experience in leading a team as Manager of ManagersIn-depth knowledge in WAN transport systems/services, LAN switching technology, routing protocols, and Data centresStrong hands-on experience with Network hardware like switches, routers,Prior experience in automating various activities related Network and data centresStrong demonstrated people development skills to hire, coach, develop, and mentor team members
