**Job Description**
BAE Systems is seekinga **Unified Communications (UC)/Network Engineer** to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system.Accuracy, integrity, subject matter expertise, and the ability to work well independently and with others are important traits we expect the successful candidate to possess and demonstrate.
In this position you will works with a team to support Audio/Visual, Video Teleconferencing, (VTC), and Unified Communications technology for collaboration, meetings, training, and specialized use meeting rooms.
In this role you will:
+ Take responsibility for scheduling, operation, and maintenance of enterprise Voice and Video Conferencing Systems
+ Provide technical troubleshooting for day-to-day operations, coordinates vendor repairs, including scheduling with vendors and customers, basic hardware installation and technical system deployments
+ Familiar with operating and configuring Freeport and digital signage integration
+ Coordinate with AV vendors and Government personnel for building access, escorts, loading dock access, property, and delivery scheduling
+ Coordinate Project Management support with Government personnel and contracted vendors for integration work, as needed by request or punch list, for all conference rooms and collaborative meeting spaces
+ Work closely and effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders on all audio-visual initiatives and projects, providing expert advice, reports, and documents as needed
+ Keep track of work efforts, time, and products via Avanti ticketing system on a daily basis
+ Perform field installations and able to inspect field installations for accuracy
+ Update hardware inventory reports and perform audits of equipment that arrived on site compared to what was documented
+ Locate and review project statements-of-work (SOWs) to ensure installation is technically accurate
+ Extensive knowledge with voice and video hardware and software; integrating new and existing hardware, as well as software updates/patches to keep UC systems current with DoD requirements
+ Make configuration changes to endpoints and infrastructure under the direction of the senior engineer and/or Change Control Board
+ Act as liaison to Unified Communications Manager in their absence
+ Provide recommendations and support for audio-visual integration projects at client facilities for mission critical and high-visibility command center, conference rooms and meeting spaces
+ Fully test installed system and work with vendor commissioning staff prior to final acceptance of a project
+ Manage daily operations of the Unified Communications subsystems, operations and maintenance of all VTC and Voice over IP devices to include Call Managers, Session Border Controllers, Voice over IP endpoints, Video Communications Servers, MCUs, Gateways, room- based VTC systems, desktop VTC devices, andother VTC-related equipment
+ Conduct integration and configuration of existing unified communications hardware, including application of security controls and management support to the network infrastructure that underlies the unified communications platform
+ Patch and upgrade firmware, break/fix support, and daily operations support, including on-site assistance for special events
+ Maintain and provide configuration management information that shall include but not be limited to equipment hardware make/model, version numbers of installed software, as-built drawings, serial numbers, and all passwords
+ Ensure technical solutions comply with all applicable DoD regulations and industry standards
+ Monitor system and network operations, and notify users when systems display non- standard or out of tolerance behavior
+ Apply technical expertise to mitigate potential system problems before they occur
+ Resolve all Voice and Video service interruptions and technical problems in a timely manner, should they occur
+ Provide enterprise-level system administration for the VTC enterprise
+ Ensures all IP based Voice and Video systems are configured in accordance with DISA best practices and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
+ Resolve UC system operational problems including troubleshooting and performing fault isolation and repairs, replacements, or reprograms of faulty equipment, as required
+ Provide life cycle refresh projections for unified communications infrastructure, endpoints, and AV equipment build out projects
+ Conducts site surveys to establish unified communications systems and equipment based on customer requirements
+ Consult with client(s) and internal engineering groups to create and/or review requirements, functional specifications and detailed designs
+ Perform client training and collect final job documentation as needed
+ Create and maintain Unified Communications documentation
+ Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and changing environment
+ Travel to different locations is required
+ Install Operate and Maintain Cisco Meeting Server, Cisco Expressway C and E, Jabber Clients
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Must have an ACTIVE Top Secret clearance
+ Must have an IAT Level II certification as specified in the DoD 8570
+ Or, have a SECNAV 5239 qualifying degree AND meet the requirements for an IAT II as specified in the DoD 8570 within 6 months of start date.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain Common Access Card (CAC), badge access to the customer s facility, and a SSP network account in good standing.
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related degree preferred and four years position related experience, or equivalent position related experience
+ Ten years of experience with administration, installation and repair of Cisco Call Managers and network infrastructure
+ Expert knowledge of unified communications systems, including familiarity with foundation technologies, VoIP protocols, and communication standards to include SIP, TLS, VoIP codecs.
+ Experience with Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Session Border Controller, Cisco Call Manager Express, Cisco Meeting Server, Cisco Expressway C and E, Cisco Jabber client
+ Experience developing configuration change plans (CCPs) or Change Control Board (CCB) plans, and standard operating procedures (SOP) for unified communications infrastructure, endpoints, and other related equipment
+ Strong analytical skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills to include technical documentation skills, and the ability to teach classes to lower-level staff members
+ Experience with DISA STIGs and implementing the security controls on unified communications infrastructure
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities
+ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with partners and government officials
+ Travel to different locations is required

**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
