Kforce has a client that is seeking a Network Engineer (Juniper) in New York, NY. Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Juniper Network Engineer to lead and execute a Juniper switch software upgrade project. This individual will be responsible for performing software-only upgrades of Juniper switches across multiple locations, validating device and workstation connectivity post-upgrade, and independently managing the upgrade process from planning through execution. This is a fully onsite role in Midtown NYC. Key Responsibilities: * Lead the end-to-end Juniper switch OS upgrade project, including preparation, execution, validation, and documentation * Perform OS upgrades on Juniper switches - software upgrade only, no hardware installation * Validate post-upgrade functionality across all connected workstations and devices * Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the switch upgrade * Work independently across various locations, including remote sites and the main hospital * Execute upgrades outside of business hours - primarily during weekends * Maintain strong communication with internal teams to ensure minimal disruption
