Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Network Engineer (IP) to join our team! In this role you will monitors and measures activity and performance of a commercial telecom/IP network. Collects, interprets, and reports network data and individual customer performance data to provide statistics for billing.

What You'll Be Doing:

Design, configure, and maintain Qiddiya’s IP network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, MPLS, SDN).

Review IP implementation routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, MPLS), ensuring high availability and scalability.

Support integration with data centers, micro data centers (mDCs), and macro/micro towers for seamless city-wide connectivity, POPs and MMRs

Monitor network performance using NMS/OSS tools, perform capacity planning, and optimize traffic flows.

Assist in Troubleshooting network incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures.

Support implementation of IPv6 addressing, multicast, QoS policies, and network segmentation to meet service-level requirements.

Collaborate with system integration teams for convergence with IoT, smart city applications, and mission-critical systems (TETRA, CCTV, PA/VA).

Ensure compliance with QIC guidelines, CST (formerly CITC) regulations, and international standards (IEEE, ITU-T, ISO).

Develop network documentation: topology diagrams, configuration standards, as-built drawings, and operational procedures.

Provide technical input to RFPs, vendor evaluations, and acceptance testing.

Review design documents, IFC, and be able to provide value engineering.

Strong understanding of telecom/IP network protocols, including TCP/IP, SNMP, ATM, etc.

Support the operations team in implementing change management and security hardening aligned with ISO 27001/20000.

Train and mentor junior engineers in IP technologies, troubleshooting, and operational excellence.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret and report network performance data.

Effective communication skills to present technical findings and collaborate with team members.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Typically requires 8+ years of related professional experience.

Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration (or eligibility).

Familiarity with CST requirements and KSA authority processes.

Certifications required:

BICSI RCDD (active/valid, with CECs maintained).

Certifications (preferred):

BICSI OSP (Outside Plant Designer) or BICSI DCDC.
