Are you ready to assist in planning, forecasting, and implementing highly complex network systems? As a Network Engineer III at Spectrum, you will design protocol compatibility standards, develop network enhancements, recommend improvements, and be responsible for implementing network architecture and designs. This Network Engineer will act as a technical project manager, driving cross-functional collaboration and managing multiple project timelines, priorities, and tasks by bringing effective time management skills to the table.

Participate in network planning, network architecture design and engineeringIntegrate and schematically depict communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links and protocols into complete network configurationsEvaluate new products, perform network problem resolutionAssist in the development and documentation of technical standardsDevelop and implement approved methods of procedureDesign and establish protocol compatibility standards, develop and implement network enhancements and make recommendations for improvementWork on projects/systems/issues of medium to high complexity surrounding network planning, configuration and optimizationProvide escalated tier support across organizations and to third party vendorsWork on one or more projects as a project team member, occasionally as a project team leadAdhere to industry specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicableWorking Conditions

5+ years data network experienceSkills
Ability to read, write and speak the English language Ability to use personal computer and software applications like Microsoft OfficeDemonstrated in-depth data networking knowledge (OSI Model, TCP/IP, Optical Transport) Ability to work in a team environment, perform duties in a very fast-paced environment and ability to learn new technology quickly Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of related industry specifications and standards IEEE, ANSI, Fiber (Multimode, Single mode, UTP, etc.), Bridging, Switching, Routing, Ethernet and Transport technologies and protocols Demonstrated in-depth knowledge in network design, network architecture, network protocols, network topology, network devices, and network appliancesDemonstrated in-depth knowledge in using ticketing and software tools to support the current operations. Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of network designing software, such as VisioPreferred Qualifications
