Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain computer networks including routers, switches, VPNs and other physical hardware/software Monitor systems to improve network performance for all systems Troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate networking issues to other employees and management Install, configure and upgrade network hardware and software Create firewall rules and update software and data security systems to keep data and communications protected Implement disaster recovery procedures Provide on-site support for projects that require on-site installation and support Design and implement new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks Arrange scheduled upgrades Investigate faults in the network Update network equipment to the latest firmware releases Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company Participate in on-call rotation Report network status to key stakeholders Perform IP address auditing Improve knowledge and understanding of network and security best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems Ability to work overtime Ability to travel overnightD.R.
