Koniag Management Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support critical infrastructure at our government client. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in enterprise network design, implementation, and maintenance with a focus on secure government environments. **Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include but are not limited to:** The Network Engineer will be responsible for the administration, operation, and maintenance of complex network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and security devices. Core responsibilities include: + Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network systems + Configure and manage network devices including Cisco, Dell, and Palo Alto equipment + Monitor network performance and implement optimization solutions + Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide resolution + Implement and maintain network security controls + Manage LAN/WAN systems and infrastructure + Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans + Configure VPNs, load balancers, and network security devices + Perform capacity planning and network analysis + Coordinate with system owners and security teams + Maintain network monitoring systems + Document network configurations and changes + Provide technical guidance and supervision to junior staff + Interface with vendors for procurement and maintenance **Education and Experience:** **Required:** + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field + Minimum 10 years of related network engineering experience + Active Top-Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCIOR + 5 years of experience with Bachelor's degree in specified fields **Required Skills and Competencies:** + Current Cisco certification (CCNA, CCDA, CCDP, or higher) + Expert knowledge of network protocols and technologies + Strong experience with Cisco, Dell, and Palo Alto networking equipment + Proficiency in network security implementation and maintenance + Experience with firewall configuration and management + Knowledge of VPN, NAT, and load balancing technologies + Expertise in LAN/WAN design and implementation + Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills + Experience with network monitoring tools + Understanding of security compliance requirements + Ability to maintain detailed documentation + Experience working in classified environments **Desired Skills and Competencies:** + Advanced Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCIE) + Experience with TACLAN configurations + Knowledge of SDN technologies + Experience with cloud networking + Additional security certifications + Government agency experience + Experience with classified network architecture + Familiarity with SCIF operations **Our Equal Employment Opportunity Policy** The company is an equal opportunity employer.
