Job Description

Your roleCreate High Level Architecture & Impact Assessment for new technologiesWork with network access team and create specific architecture/design as requiredCreate environments & participate in Proof of Concepts to validate the architectureTranslate architecture to high level network design for HFC & Fiber based access networks (DOCSIS/PON)Work with OEM vendors providing solutions and review test resultsParticipate in Field Trials and support first roll outTroubleshooting of existing networks designAnalyze and optimize existing network solutions.Performance optimization of existing networks and ensure network performance.Incorporate security measures in existing/new design (handle security threats at design)Interact with the stakeholders (employees, vendors, customers) about the requirements and issues.Guide/mentor team members on the tasks and ensure all requirements are covered in the design.Virtualization of CCAP and observability framework for the sameCreating Architecture and Design for a converged aggregation network in Layer-2, SR-MPLS and SRv6Work with OSS team for integrating the network elements to provisioning systemsCreate observability framework and telemetry collection for access network and integration with data lakesIntegration with Automation/Orchestration architectures
Required Skills Extensive experience in DOCSIS & PON technologies Strong knowledge of HFC and Fiber based access network architectureWell versed in DOCSIS specificationsStrong knowledge of PON technology standardsExperience in guiding the teams to implement the new design/architecture.Strong knowledge on networking standards (TCP/IP, L2/L3 protocols, MPLS, Segment Routing, Traffic engineering, EVPN, IPoWDM, timing protocols and multicast protocols)Strong knowledge on network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, RPD, CMTS, CM, ONT, ONU, OLT, BNG, RADIUS etc).Strong knowledge on Network Virtualization, SR-IOV, DPDK.Experience on network security design.Experience on Unix/Linux based operating system and commands.Hands on experience in creating design, architecture documents for the networks.Good understanding of triple play services and B2B services for TelcoExperience with Telemetry standards & interactions with data lakes (gNMI, YANG, SNMPv3c, Telegraph etc.)Experience with Orchestration and autonomous networks (NETCONF, YANG, SDN Controller, Closed Loop Assurance)Experience with integrating Network Elements to OSS
PreferredExperience on passive access technologies (Cabinets, Amplifiers, Fiber Nodes etc.)Experience with various modulation technologies (QPSK, QAM, OFDM, OFDMA)Experience with Profile Management Application (PMA)Experience with Proactive Network Maintenance (PNM)Knowledge on IP/MPLS, BNG & CPEKnowledge on Agile/Scrum methodologiesBusiness Case Creation
