Network Analyst

The Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Analyst to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, performance, and security of our network infrastructure. This role involves monitoring network activity, troubleshooting issues, optimizing performance, and supporting network-related projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issuesConfigure and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access pointsPerform regular network maintenance and upgrades, including patches and security configurationsCollaborate with IT teams to support infrastructure projects and ensure network requirements are metMaintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and proceduresConduct network capacity planning and performance tuningEnsure network security by implementing and maintaining appropriate controls and monitoring toolsRespond to and resolve network outages, service degradations, and security incidentsProvide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staffParticipating in an On-Call scheduleParticipate in After Hours security patching and remediation as necessary

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)3+ years of experience in network administration or analysisStrong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)Experience with enterprise class network equipmentFamiliarity with enterprise class network monitoring toolsUnderstanding of firewalls, VPNs, and other security technologiesExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsRelevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are a plus

Preferred Skills:

Experience with cloud networkingKnowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automationFamiliarity with ITIL practices and service management tools
