Job Title: Network Analyst / Specialist

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Network Analyst / Specialist to support and maintain our organization's IT infrastructure. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our network systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of network architecture, cloud environments, and IT best practices, along with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily System Monitoring
Monitor the health and performance of backups, cloud applications, firewalls, network traffic, SAN, servers, and virtual machines.Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system alerts.2. Network Documentation & Communication
Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation and configuration records.Create and revise network diagrams.Communicate planned maintenance, outages, and network changes to stakeholders.3. IT Security & Disaster Recovery
Implement and monitor network security protocols in collaboration with the IT security team.Participate in security tabletop exercises and enforce compliance with security policies.Conduct annual disaster recovery (DR) testing in coordination with the MSP.4. System Updates & Patch Management
Apply patches and updates to servers, network devices, and cloud systems in accordance with security standards and schedules.5. Virtual Environment & Storage Management
Manage virtual server environments and SAN storage systems.Provision and maintain virtual machines.Monitor and optimize storage utilization and oversee backup processes.6. Helpdesk & End-User Support
Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets in a timely manner.Develop and maintain support documentation, checklists, and knowledge base articles.Escalate complex issues appropriately to minimize downtime.Set up internet and cloud access for job sites and troubleshoot remote access issues.Travel to job sites as required.7. Budgeting & Procurement Support
Assist in budgeting for data center, cloud, network, and server infrastructure.Research and recommend hardware and software solutions aligned with organizational needs.Required Skills & QualificationsProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong analytical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Preferred QualificationsExperience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)Familiarity with SAN and cloud storage technologiesUnderstanding of IT security frameworks and industry best practicesPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
