SecuriGence is seeking a **Network Administrator (Intermediate)** to support a federal government program in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will provide hands-on network administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of enterprise networks, ensuring the availability, reliability, and security of IT systems. This role requires prior experience supporting Cisco and Juniper devices, firewall administration, and enterprise networking environments. **Responsibilities** + Install, configure, and maintain network equipment, including switches, routers, and firewalls. + Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues to ensure optimal availability and security. + Support LAN/WAN infrastructure and assist with upgrades, patches, and configuration changes. + Perform routine network maintenance, including firmware updates and security hardening. + Provide support for network-related incidents, escalating as necessary to senior engineers or vendors. + Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and compliance purposes. + Collaborate with system administrators, cybersecurity teams, and application developers to resolve cross-functional issues. + Assist with implementing network security measures in alignment with federal and organizational policies. **Qualifications** + Associate’s degree OR + Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred + High school diploma or GED equivalent with 5+ years of experience may be substituted for Education + 3+ years of experience in network administration or related IT infrastructure support. + Experience with Cisco and Juniper network devices (routers, switches, firewalls). + Experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar preferred). + CCNA preferred + Must be a U.S. Citizen + Background check with the ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** + Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve operating/hardware network system problems. + Knowledge of CISCO and Juniper routers and switches. + Experience with both LAN and WAN troubleshooting.
