Presbyterian Homes & Services is seeking a Network Administrator for its team.
The Network Administrator is responsible for designing, analyzing, and supporting the company’s network infrastructure based on requirements and standards. It is imperative that appropriate standards are documented, maintained and followed with the goal of providing high network availability and an unsurpassed level of service to our customers.
REPORTING STRUCTURE: The Network Administrator reports to the IT Director of Networking and Telecom.
ResponsibilitiesIn conjunction with the whole of PHS IT and in response to requirements from the other PHS groups, engineer, implement and support appropriate enterprise as well as local solutions in the following capacities (list is not all inclusive):
Support Network Infrastructure Team to design, build, upgrade and maintain PHS network infrastructure including WAN, LAN, Wireless and VOIP to achieve high availability and performance requirementsProvide troubleshooting and problem resolution on an as-needed basisCollect and analyze data about the performance and capacity of the network and its components, and make recommendations to managementCreate and maintain documentation for data center and community infrastructure closets, including network diagrams, configurations, troubleshooting and business continuity procedureEnsure proper escalation procedures are followed if a sensitive issue or a major problem is suspected, to minimize client productivity loss, caused by technical outageWork in conjunction with other IT and business units to provide turn-key solutionsBuild and maintain vendor relationshipsPerform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum 2-year college degree in MIS, IT, or related field requiredA+, Network+, CCNA certification or equivalent job-related experience a plusBasic understanding core networking technologies: TCP/IP, 802.11, SNMP (2c and 3), WAN (IPSec VPN over Cable and DSL), QOS, DHCP, DNSAbility and desire to learn and use network management tools to detect and resolve network issuesAbility and desire to learn PBX and VOIP phone systemsExceptional customer service skillsBasic understanding of infrastructure wiring: Ethernet, Fiber, Patch panelsBasic understanding of OSI modelExperience supporting a multi-site network a plusUnderstanding Cisco, Aruba and Fortinet infrastructure and product families a plusAbility to travel in the metro and remotely up to 25% of the timeAbility to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotationDemonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.Other skills and experience desired:
Aruba switches and wirelessBasic firewall configuration and troubleshooting, Network Monitoring and troubleshooting using tools such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, NetFlow, PuTTY, SSH, or otherProficient in Microsoft Office365, and basic Linux OSVoIP systems including NEC, Ring Central Experience in Health Care, Senior Care, HIPAA environments
Pay Range The estimated starting pay range for this role is $66,186 - $82,722 per year. This good faith estimate is based upon PHS’s typical starting pay range for this role. Actual pay range depends on many factors including each individual employee’s qualifications and market conditions and is subject to change. Benefits
