Role Overview:
The Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining the bank’s secure and efficient computer network infrastructure. This role ensures uninterrupted network operations across all branches, supports banking applications, safeguards data integrity, and enforces cybersecurity measures in compliance with banking regulations.
Are you someone who can:
Support core banking systems, transaction processing systems, and digital banking platforms.Manage network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and network cabling.Liaises with ISP’s and other network contractors for services/products.Plans and implements network security, including building firewalls, applying cryptography to network applications.Configure, manage, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability across all banking branches and ATMs.Participate in designing and maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity plans.Perform regular network recovery testing.Prepare reports on network performance and incidents.Document network problems and resolutions for future reference.Provides and maintains a highly available, scalable, manageable, converging and performing network in line with business requirements.Implement changes during defined slots and at appropriate times.Ensure knowledge transfer to junior employees.Maintain up-to-date network documentation including topology maps, configuration logs, and access controls.You will be an ideal candidate if you:
Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.Certifications (Preferred):
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher (e.g., CCNP)CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer AssociateCertifications in IT security (e.g., CEH, CISM) are an added advantage.3+ years of experience as a network administrator or similar role, preferably in a financial or highly regulated environment.You will have access to:
