Network Administrator
**Job Summary** As a **Network Administrator** , you will be responsible for overseeing the design implementation and maintenance of network infrastructure solutions. You will work in a hybrid model with rotational shifts ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance. Your expertise in load balancing switching and routing will be crucial in enhancing network efficiency and reliability. **In this role you will:** + Administration of network infrastructure solutions to ensure high availability and performance. + Oversee the configuration and management of load balancing systems to optimize traffic distribution and resource utilization. + Provide technical expertise in switching and routing using Arista and Cisco technologies to enhance network efficiency. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate wireless solutions into the existing network infrastructure. + Monitor and maintain WAN optimizers to ensure optimal data transmission across wide area networks. + Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain service quality. + Implement security measures to protect network integrity and safeguard sensitive data. + Conduct regular network assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary upgrades. + Document network configurations and changes to maintain accurate records and facilitate future troubleshooting. + Train and mentor junior network engineers to develop their technical skills and knowledge. + Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and trends to ensure the company remains competitive. + Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of network components and services. + Contribute to the development of network policies and procedures to standardize operations and improve efficiency. **What you need to have to be considered:** + Should have minimum of 2+ years of core experience (DC) in supporting a large enterprise environment + Proficient knowledge and understanding of Routing, Switching and Security devices + Experience in firewall devices will be an added advantage + Knowledge of NAT, IPSEC and ACL + Experience in supporting protocols like BGP, HSRP and VRRP + Experience in Point-to-Point Links, IPSEC VPNs and wireless devices **Work model:** At Cognizant, we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible, and we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs. The annual salary for this position is between $50,303 to $86,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
