This work is highly interdisciplinary, ranging from organoid studies to research involving animal models. Dr. Knauf’s team plays a pivotal role in bridging experimental and clinical research by testing new hypotheses in patient cohorts and investigator-initiated trials—hypotheses that are often developed through experimental studies. Dr. Knauf previously held faculty positions at Yale University and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
