Position Summary

The Neonatal/Pediatric Flight RN is a vital member of the A.L.E.R.T. team, responsible for delivering high-quality, critical care to neonatal and pediatric patients during air and ground transport. This role requires advanced clinical expertise, sound decision-making in high-stress situations, and strong collaboration with physicians, respiratory therapists, paramedics, and pilots.

Key Responsibilities

Provide advanced neonatal and pediatric critical care during emergent and interfacility transports.Assess, stabilize, and manage patients in challenging environments (aircraft, ambulance, remote settings).Collaborate with multidisciplinary transport team members to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care.Maintain readiness through rigorous ongoing training, simulation, and continuing education.Safely operate within the specialized constraints of rotor-wing and fixed-wing aircraft environments.

Qualifications

Current Montana RN license (or ability to obtain prior to start).Minimum 3 years of recent neonatal and/or pediatric ICU experience required.Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.CFRN or C-NPT certification preferred (or obtained within 2 years of hire).Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and communication skills under pressure.Ability to meet physical and safety requirements of flight crew.

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week.  Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
