Responsible for performing inspections, audits, and surveillance on government and commercial maritime projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and customer requirements.
RequirementsNDT Level II certifications in VT, PT, MT, UT Shearwave, and UT Thickness per NAVSEA T9074-AS-GIB-010-271.
Quality Control Inspector certification.
Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of waterfront NDT & QA experience, OR Trade School/Apprenticeship with 5 years of waterfront NDT & QA experience, OR Military Service with 4 years of NDT & QA experience and relevant training/certifications, OR GED with 8 years of waterfront experience (5 years in NDT & QA).
Ability to obtain and maintain access to U.S. Military bases and shipyards.
Willingness to travel up to 85%.
Familiarity with NAVSEA standards.
Preferred SkillsCertified Weld Inspector (CWI).
NACE or NBPI certification.
Strong documentation and reporting ability.
ResponsibilitiesPerform NDT inspections in accordance with NAVSEA standards.
Review work packages for accuracy and compliance prior to work start.
Conduct in-process audits, weld inspections, and final work-package reviews.
Support production teams in completing required quality and safety documentation.
Perform internal quality/safety audits and external subcontractor audits.
Report quality/safety issues to Quality Assurance Supervisors and assist in implementing corrective actions.
Coordinate with customers for inspection scheduling and acceptance requirements.
Provide project QA/Safety oversight and onsite support to Project Managers and Supervisors.
Maintain and manage Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) documentation.
Pay Details: $29.00 to $36.00 per hour
