Education, Experience & Background

Exam passed at Level 2 as specified in NBS 1035 section 7.5.1Must have relevant experience or current qualification for EN4179Experience of working in a laboratory would be desirableExperience of working within a busy Manufacturing environment.Aerospace experience would be advantageous.

 

Job Role - NDT Level 2 Technician

Location:  Centurion Way, Meridian Business Park, Leicester, LE19 1WH

Hours of Work:  Monday to Thursday 6.00 am to 2.30 pm, Friday 6 am to 11.30 am (37.5 hours basic).

Competitive Salary:  £19.59 per hour Including 17,5% shift allowance

The key activities outlined below represent an overview only of the position of NDT (Stage 2) Technician, with also a requirement to support in the laboratory.  We are based on site at the Leicester Plant and the following description should not be seen as a prescriptive list of activities. A flexible and responsive approach to this role is vital, as is the requirement on occasion to work overtime when authorized.  Initiative in identifying and focusing on the needs of the business and its customers are qualities we are seeking from all of our team members.

Specific Responsibilities

Accomplished Experience of 2 years or more in the role of NDT, with essential experience in FPI and MPI at level 2 status essentialAbility to read, analyze, interpret general technical procedures and engineering drawingsAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables within the NDT areaAptitude to use a variety of measurement equipment (both conventional and SMART)To operate the Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI)  and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) equipment in line with recognized specifications and practicesDemonstrate an understanding of Lean StandardsConsistently meets production and 5S targetsMust pass Jaeger J1 and Curpax J2 and Ishihara testsEnsure housekeeping is maintained to the highest standards.Ensure all quality procedures are adhered to, taking an active part in root cause analysis.Abide by the Health and Safety policies of the site
