Our core competencies include machining and rubber-to-metal bonding, and we hold multiple industry and aerospace customer certifications, including AS9100 and NADCAP . Performs Level II nondestructive testing of machined aerospace components. Inspection methods include Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) & Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) Essential Job Functions + Performs Level II Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection and/or Magnetic Particle Inspection + Cleans and maintains NDT equipment + Inspects parts per applicable customer acceptance criteria and documents results in accordance with company, customer and/or industry requirements + Cleans and etches parts as required + Performs process audits as required + Interfaces with customer on a limited basis (NDT issues) + Actively participates in LEAN projects and activities + Adheres to all safety guidelines and procedures + Other assignments as required Qualifications + Understands and demonstrates comprehension of drawings, blueprints and Manufacturing Work Instructions + Must be detail oriented to keep accurate records and files + Demonstrated ability to solve technical problems with limited information + Commitment to and demonstration of LORD Performance Principles + Able to communicate effectively with management, and co-workers to promote strong working relationships and create an environment focused on teamwork + Flexible with work and job assignments and willing to perform any function as needed + Must be dependable and available to work overtime when required + Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook + Willingness to work 2nd Shift Education + Prior NDT experience and level II Certification preferred + High School Diploma or equivalent + Willingness to pursue NDT Level II Certification Self-motivated and ability to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision Note: The essential functions above have been provided as examples of the type of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification.
