The University of Southern Maine (USM) is seeking a dynamic, tech-savvy, and student-centered Navigate Project Specialist to join our Learning Support team. This full-time, hourly, fixed-length, one year appointment position plays a key role in supporting student retention and academic success through the coordination and implementation of communication and engagement strategies using our Navigate 360 platform.

About the Role:
The Project Specialist provides institution-wide support for USM’s Navigate 360 platform, a critical tool for engaging students and improving academic outcomes. You will design and deliver Navigate 360 workshops, marketing and online resources, offer training and technical support across departments, and coordinate email and text outreach campaigns. As a member of the Navigate Network team, you will assist with the coordination and documentation of team meetings. This role works closely with academic departments, Advising, the Dean of Students Office, Veterans Services, Athletics, the Career Hub, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide technical support and training to faculty, staff, and students using Navigate 360
+ Coordinate and manage student communication campaigns and Progress Reports
+ Collect and analyze data to inform outreach and support efforts
+ Develop visual data reports and resources for faculty and stakeholders
+ Coordinate meetings and documentation for Navigate Network and related teams
+ Create and deliver workshops, presentations, and digital resources
+ Produce student-facing marketing materials and campaigns
+ Support Learning Commons operations as needed, including technology troubleshooting
+ Assist in developing usage policies and best practices for Navigate 360
+ Perform additional administrative duties as assigned
Located on our Portland campus, this is a full-time, one-year, fixed length position that will pay $21.09/hour.

Required Qualifications:
+ 60 credits or more of higher education or equivalent work experience and training; AND three years administrative support experience.
+ Strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and other pertinent applications.
+ Demonstrated proficiency with learning new technologies.
