A great opportunity has become available for an experienced National WHS Coordinator to join our corporate team. As part of a corporate Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) function you will be responsible for assisting with the effective implementation and execution of HSE policy and strategy across Thales operations in Australia. You will undertake activities in support of HSE programs and projects across all Thales Business Lines.
As the National WHS Coordinator, you are accountable for:
Undertaking activities to support the implementation, maintenance and ongoing compliance of the Group and corporate HSE strategy, management system and improvement and control action plans.Providing support to HSE management and their teams in achieving the HSE strategy (where relevant)Executing the HSE assurance framework to meet Group, management system, critical risk management and legislative requirements and expectationsProviding scheduling and logistic support to facilitate internal and external HSE assurance activitiesUndertaking activities to assure the accuracy and compliance of HSE data and providing support to HSE reportingWhere required, providing support to sites with HSE site committees and site-based programs such as the coordination of drug and alcohol testing and vaccination programsWhere required, providing support to the development and delivery of HSE trainingOther duties as directedKEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
A minimum of a Cert IV in HSE, or a related field or equivalent experience.Experience in a HSE role in large, complex and high-risk organisationsUnderstanding HSE regulationsAble to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail. Demonstrated strong stakeholder engagementExcellent oral and written communication skills Ability to lead, motivate and influence others without positional power.Lead and participate in change initiatives aimed at delivering a mature HSE operational commitment from operationsUnderstanding of HSE auditing and compliance systems including experience with ISO 14001, 45001 and exposure to 50001 management systemBENEFITS @ THALES
