Section 3 – Your Role Role Purpose: The National Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through the development and execution of a national sales strategy, market expansion and customer relationship management. This role focuses on direct external sales to customers, targeting both new business acquisition and retention to meet revenue and sales targets. Key Responsibilities: Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Formulate and implement comprehensive national sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share goals. Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and emerging trends. Create and manage sales plans, forecasts, and budgets to ensure targets are met. Customer Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with key customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty. Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain positive relationships. Develop strategies to retain existing customers and win back former clients. Market Expansion: Identify and pursue opportunities to expand market share in existing and new regions or sectors. Collaborate with the Business Development team to explore and secure new business ventures. Analyse competitive landscape and adjust strategies to maintain a competitive edge. Collaboration and Partnership: Work closely with internal teams, including Business Development, Marketing and Operations, to align sales strategies with overall business objectives. Establish and maintain partnerships with external stakeholders to facilitate national deals and strategic alliances. Participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure cohesive and integrated sales efforts.

Revenue Generation: Drive revenue growth by developing and executing proactive sales initiatives and strategic partnerships. Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust strategies to ensure revenue targets are met. Identify and mitigate risks such as market saturation or economic downturns that could impact sales. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular sales reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and progress towards goals. Utilize data and analytics to inform decision-making and optimize sales strategies. Track and analyse sales trends, customer feedback and market conditions to continuously improve sales performance. Sales Team Management & Development: Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that encourages innovation and excellence. Ensure the sales team is equipped with the necessary tools and resources to succeed. Lead, mentor, and motivate the national sales team to achieve high performance and meet sales objectives. Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews. Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the sales team. Experience: Proven track record in sales management, preferably within the plant hire, construction or related industry. Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful sales strategies. Strong background in market analysis and negotiation. Experience in managing and leading a sales team to achieve performance targets. History of building and maintaining client relationships to drive business growth. Skills & Abilities: Strong sales acumen and leadership capabilities. Excellent market analysis and negotiation skills. Proficient in client relationship management, with the ability to capture new business and maintain existing clients. Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies that align with market trends. Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
