Position Profile

The Production Print Support Consultant is responsible for partnering with the Ricoh Dealer Sales team to drive sales of Ricoh Production Printing products and achieve or exceed 100% of the assigned revenue quota across the U.S. As a technical subject matter expert, this role assesses customer needs, ensures satisfaction during and after implementation, and develops strategic initiatives to grow Production Printing product sales. The consultant provides timely product and sales support to Dealer Production team members, Production Print Business Managers (PPBMs), Dealer Channel field marketing teams, and end-user customers.

Key Responsibilities Serve as a national inside/outside production support consultant to the sales team to drive revenue achievement. Act as a technical liaison, providing support, analysis, and troubleshooting to field-based PPBMs, dealers, and customers to identify requirements and deliver solutions. Resolve upstream application issues and optimize Fiery and engine settings to enhance output quality and productivity. Conduct testing and benchmarking of complex customer print files on various substrates. Create printed samples to support sales calls, customer events, and training initiatives. Assist with validating solution configurations, including complex workflows and advanced finishing requirements. Participate in and support regional events such as annual kickoffs and special dealer events, leveraging national portals and the Boulder Customer Innovation Center as needed. Qualifications Experience with office equipment dealers or direct manufacturers. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in increasingly complex solutions, managed print, or document services. CDIA+ or equivalent certifications preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Expert-level knowledge of Digital Front Ends (e.g., Fiery). Advanced proficiency in graphic applications such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, etc.). Strong understanding of production hardware solutions, including engines and finishing devices. Proven sales and analytical experience in the production print space; systems analyst experience is highly valued. Advanced knowledge of media and substrates. Working Conditions and Physical/Mental Demands Primarily office-based with standard lighting, ventilation, temperature, and noise levels. Cyclical stress due to frequent goals and deadlines; daily stress related to decision-making responsibilities. Mostly sedentary work with occasional walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting/carrying objects under 10 lbs. Moderate dexterity required for regular use of tools such as calculators, keyboards, and hand tools. Occasional travel to customer sites, which may not always be accessible via public transportation.
