SUMMARY: Responsible for managing all facets of a Ring primary National account. Responsible for building customer relationships, achieving sales budget, selling Ring Container Technologies products assigned and representing the company in accordance with its policies and in the area assigned; for maintaining an awareness of competitive market conditions and for communicating promptly and effectively to the executive staff and other pertinent departments.
Key Responsibilities and Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for total account management of a Ring primary account (sales in excess of $20 million) with multiple supply locations. Identify potential profitable new opportunities at existing accounts or new customers that match Ring Container Technologies capabilities.Meets or exceeds sales budget and total company market share in assigned territory.Attends and participates in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows as directed.Recommends the additions of new products and the modification or deletions of present products to the line as appropriate.Negotiate new contracts and variations in price, delivery, and specifications on existing business.Continually work with credit department to help solve (address) customer’s credit issues.Schedule appointments in a timely manner to obtain best prices for travel (airfare / rental cars / hotels).Maintain and build relationships internal and external customers. Identify the decision maker, recommenders and influencers at all accounts.Use probing skills in understanding the customer’s world and their requirementsSet clear and measurable objectives on a quarterly and/or annual basis with subsequent reporting of attainment.Prepare and submit clear, concise call reports and monthly reports to Sales Management, Ops and other pertinent personnel in a timely manner.Design an account strategy for successfully penetrating a customer’s organization, including; marketing, sales, financial, R&D, and manufacturing groups.Responsible for building relationships with Ring Container Technologies Plant managers and staff.Participates in helping their primary plants achieve their objectives of profitability, quality, and service.Establish and negotiate appropriate inventory levels by Product Line between Ring customers, Ring Corporate and Ring facilities.Adheres to Ring Container Technologies policies and conducts all business in an ethical manner.Maintains up-to-date customer contact information.Experience and Educational Qualifications
Manager of National Accounts should possess strong people skills. Customer focus, business ethics, self-motivation, communication skills, and a desire to grow the business are required competencies. 5 + years of sales experience are required with management of large complex accounts.
Candidate should have a Bachelor Degree, preferably in a Business related field. An advanced business degree is preferred.
