National Account Executive – Independent Grocery

This role will support profitable and sustainable sales and growth of PepsiCo products within the Independents Channel through the development and management of the Metcash promotional program, and provision of account management support to the National Account Manager and State Account Managers. Manage the execution of the promotional program, monitoring adherence to the program, and tracking/ sharing results with the Account Team. Work with Revenue Management & the Indies NAM to review and analyse the promotional program to identify opportunities to drive D&A savings, incremental NR and a share winning plan. Forecasting Process Input and manage forecasts within the TPM tool to drive accurate volume forecasts and accruals. Participate in reviewing and reconciling volume and accruals with Demand Planning & Commercial Finance. Review, validate and approve claims as required by PepsiCo’s DOA. Field Communications Prepare and communicate key priorities for field execution through completion of relevant briefing templates and participating in field engagement meetings. Manage all ad-hoc field queries and communications relating to the national plan. Analysis Work in partnership with Revenue Management and the Indies NAM to identify and implement opportunities for promotional optimisation. Support the Indies NAM in understanding the drivers of share performance, and provide recommendations related to the program to drive positive share outcomes. Qualifications About you Degree qualified or equivalent qualification preferable with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related sales function in FMCG or like industry. Proven track record in delivering results in a sales role and ability to build strong relationships. Knowledge of category trends and insights with ability to execute into customer plans. Proven ability to work collaboratively with others to deliver business outcomes with solid communication and negotiation skills. Results driven, with ‘can do’ attitude. Highly analytical, with the ability to generate insights, and accompany with clear and concise action plans with advanced Excel skills Understanding of AC Nielsen, IRI Unify or Aztec and SAP / TM1 systems Overall business understanding of sales and operations.
