Job Description:
The NAS Automation Systems Engineer provides expertise in support of FAA automation programs, with responsibility for system integration, sustainment, and deployment of complex automation platforms within the National Airspace System (NAS). Roles range from mid-level contributors with strong technical skills to senior and lead engineers who provide program-level leadership and guidance.
Mid-Level
Minimum 7+ years of related experience, with BS (or equivalent experience).Experience supporting FAA programs or related large-scale automation systems.Knowledge of at least one current FAA NAS Automation system (ERAMS, STARS, ATOP, MEARTS, TFDM, TFMS, etc.).Ability to work within cross-functional teams and contribute to development, integration, or sustainment efforts for mission-critical automation systems.Senior
Minimum 10+ years of related experience, with BS (or equivalent experience).Experience supporting FAA programs and strong knowledge of at least one FAA NAS Automation system (ERAMS, STARS, ATOP, MEARTS, TFDM, TFMS, etc.).Proven ability to coordinate across engineering, program management, and stakeholder groups to ensure system requirements are met.Experience contributing to and/or leading major program tasks with tight deadlines in mission-critical environments.Lead
Minimum 12+ years of related experience, with BS (or equivalent experience).Extensive experience supporting FAA and expert-level knowledge of at least one current FAA NAS Automation system (ERAMS, STARS, ATOP, MEARTS, TFDM, TFMS, etc.).Demonstrated success leading large, complex FAA or equivalent automation programs with aggressive schedules.Skilled at stakeholder engagement, risk management, and coordinating large teams to deliver solutions aligned with FAA operational goals.Ability to provide technical leadership, mentoring, and strategic direction to FAA stakeholders and internal project teams.Security Clearance Requirement:
