What You'll Do

As a Practice Area (Senior) Coordinator, you will work across the Social Impact Practice owning and driving a wide range of projects across the rapidly scaling People and Operations agenda.


You will be notably driving the coordination and management of PA global and regional meetings (SI Townhalls, FAC, etc…), leading global people related initiatives like our L&D offering, and supporting global SI operations to ensure our key documents and tools are always up to date.

You will be the main point of contact for our NAMR Region, driving and coordinating People & Operations topics for the region, such as managing NAMR staffing for the SI Immersion Program, assisting our SI NAMR RPAL.

In addition, you will provide general practice area support, driving / contributing to specific and temporary projects.

The Social Impact Practice Area tackles the world's most intractable problems across Development, Health, Education & Upskilling, ESG “S” / Diversity Equity & Inclusion, Climate Adaptation & Resilience, Humanitarian Crises response and Local community work.

Our work contributes to a more sustainable and inclusive future, working across social, public, and private sector clients.

 

YOU'RE GOOD AT

Building a strong network in the PA and beyond, at all levelsLeveraging a robust understanding of BCG’s / the PA’s business to make decisionsSupporting, and in some cases, driving complex, ambiguous PA projects or processes that routinely require independent judgment, trade-offs, or prioritizationIndependent problem solving, with a high degree of service orientation, developing creative solutions and implement improvementsOwning and driving the organization of internal PA meetings and eventsDriving new initiatives or ways of working to improve the operational processes in the PAHelping others navigate the practice network and supporting onboarding of team membersExercising judgement to contribute beyond the PA, thinking analytically through alternativesExperience of staffing is a plus

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's degree4-6 years relevant experience BCG BST role and/ or professional services firmExceptional organizational, planning and project management skills; strong at conceptualization, follow-through, ownership, and accountabilityIntellectual curiosity, open to new ways of working and process improvement with creative problem-solving skills, thinking ‘outside the box’Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholder while Working in a global collaborative team environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsProfessional, service oriented, pro-active and flexible attitudeAdvanced knowledge in Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Trello, Slack

Who You'll Work With

You will be part of the global Social Impact Practice Management and Operations (SI PA M&O) team and will be working closely with the SI Global Senior People Manager, SI Global Practice Management Senior Director as well as colleagues in BCG’s Industry and Functional Practice Areas.

Practice Area Management & Operations team members keep BCG’s industry and functional practice areas operating responsively and efficiently. As a member of this team, you will contribute directly to the success of our business through several roles, including content development, process management, marketing, meeting and conference management, and internal/external communications.
