**Job Description Summary**
GE Vernova’s Onshore Wind business is rapidly expanding, and we are building a high-performing team of SCADA Engineering Technicians to support our growing project portfolio across North America. As part of this growth, we are seeking a qualified and committed SCADA Manager (SM) to join our dynamic team and lead SCADA efforts on complex wind projects.
The SCADA Manager (SM) plays a critical leadership role in supporting GE Vernova’s Onshore Wind projects across North America. This position is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, testing, and validation of SCADA and instrumentation systems to ensure reliable and efficient wind farm operation. The SM will manage a team of SCADA Engineering Technicians and collaborate cross-functionally to drive quality, performance, and compliance with project specifications.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
**Team Leadership & Development**
+ Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of SCADA Engineering Technicians.
+ Manage staffing needs, performance development, and training plans.
+ Foster a culture of accountability, safety, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
**Project Execution & Support**
+ Oversee SCADA system installation, commissioning, and validation on wind projects during ITO (Inquiry to Order) and OTR (Order to Remittance) phases.
+ Ensure SCADA deliverables align with customer requirements, project milestones, and internal standards.
+ Serve as the technical lead for troubleshooting complex SCADA issues on active and legacy projects.
**Testing & Validation**
+ Lead operational and performance testing of instrumentation and control systems to validate system functionality per design specifications.
+ Review and approve test procedures, reports, and documentation.
+ Ensure SCADA systems meet quality, cybersecurity, and compliance standards.
**Strategy & Continuous Improvement**
+ Collaborate with engineering, projects commissioning, cybersecurity, and digital teams to improve system design, configuration practices, and execution models.
+ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance delivery speed, system reliability, and cost efficiency.
+ Stay informed on industry trends, standards, and competitor capabilities to maintain a competitive edge.
**Cross-Functional Coordination**
+ Interface with customers, project managers, and external vendors to manage expectations and deliverables.
+ Ensure proper integration of SCADA systems with turbines, substations, and site networks.
+ Support root cause analysis, technical reporting, and resolution of high-impact issues.
**Technical Leadership**
+ Apply deep domain expertise in SCADA architecture, networking, data acquisition, and control systems.
+ Guide decision-making and problem-solving efforts with a blend of analytical thinking and field experience.
+ Act as a subject matter expert and resource for internal teams.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Renewable Energy, or equivalent technical field experience in lieu of a degree.
+ High school diploma / GED with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Project Management, Instrumentation, Controls, or SCADA systems.
**Desired Characteristics**
+ Proven leadership experience managing technical teams in a fast-paced, field-oriented or engineering environment.
+ Strong understanding of SCADA systems, PLCs, data acquisition, networking, and wind turbine control systems.
+ Experience with instrumentation testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting in power generation or renewable energy sectors.
+ Familiarity with industry cybersecurity standards (e.g., NERC CIP, IEC 62443) related to control systems.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and deliver results on time and within budget.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
+ Ability to travel to project sites as needed (domestically and/or internationally).
The base pay range for this position is $100,000 to $166,000 The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.

The base pay range for this position is Total Base Pay Range $100,000.00 - 133,400.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.
