Working as part of a cross functional team, you deliver the RDQ activities required to complete new product development, portfolio maintenance and/or productivity projects with an emphasis on meeting the desired consumer experience.

How you will contribute

With the support and guidance of a manager, you will organize and execute projects in line with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks. You will plan and conduct pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements and development activities (e.g. product shelf-life testing, designing for quality, consumer test preparation etc.). You will also write technical reports that will require the analysis and interpretation of results and that lead to conclusions and recommendations and create and maintain accurate consumer-led specifications.

Food science, science, or engineering ideally in a fast-moving consumer goods market

Working on teams and independently with the guidance of a manager

Applying fundamental technical understanding to interpret and analyze data to reach clear conclusions

Communicating effectively verbally and in writing, including technical writing

Putting the consumer at the heart of development activities

What you need to know about this position:

You will be working on North America Confections – Jellies business. Great learning with experienced developers and best performing team. 

You will experience wide ranges of projects including: 

Innovation: Near term innovation and renovation 

Core maintenance: Resolve quality issues, BCP, Margin and support plant performance improvement 

Education / Certifications: BS in Food Science, Chemical Engineering or related field 

Job specific requirements:

1-3 years of experience in related field 

Strong technical foundation and technical curiosity 

Participate in cross functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues. 

Write process specifications that deliver consistent, high-quality products across numerous manufacturing facilities. 

Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to effectively communicate to all levels within the organization 

Travel requirements: Travel up to 30%, to locations in Canada, US, and Mexico 

Work schedule: Hybrid - Work from office 3 days a week

Salary and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position is $61,800 to $84,975; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
