Facility:Dayton Children's - Main CampusDepartment:Child LifeSchedule:Full timeHours:40Job Details:Under the supervision of the child life director, the music therapist will be responsible for assessing individual patient needs, planning and facilitating appropriate music therapy sessions to enhance coping, and increase self expression, establishing supporting relationships with patients and their families and collaborating with other members of the health care team. They will maintain appropriate records and keep professional knowledge and skills at an acceptable level. The music therapist supervises music therapy students.
Education
Bachelor degree required
Certification/License
MT-BC Music Therapy Certification required.
LMPT- Ohio Licensed Professional Music Therapist required
CPR: Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation - American Heart Association required
