The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a creative, self-motivated, and collaborative 3D Animator. This opportunity could be an ideal fit if you possess a strong passion for creating and delivering cutting-edge educational PC Simulations products and solutions, encompassing virtual reality, and emerging technologies. Under general direction, the Multimedia Design Specialist will take on a variety of tasks, both independently and in collaboration with Complex Media developers, Instructional System Designers, and Subject Matter Experts to create complex objects for the Sailor 2025 Ready Relevant Learning contract.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for collaborating with Complex Media Developers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop technically accurate PC Simulations media elements.

• Responsible for designing, developing, and creating innovative 3D and video media elements for the developed training. Tasks will include creating 3D animations, complex objects, rendering and compositing.

• Duties may include helping with planning, designing, and preparation of 3D media elements, as well as strategy and conceptualization of new designs for the training team.

• Assist in collecting and organizing information supporting manuals and training materials.

• Review all training materials developed by the FCA Instructional System Designers (ISDs).

Required:

• Prior experience working with a training team developing complex media across a wide array of disciplines.

• Expertise with media creation:

o Autodesk Media Creation Suite (3ds Max, Maya, Arnold) or equivalent.)

o Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Substance Suite)

o DaVinci Resolve / Fusion

• Prior experience working with a training team developing complex media.

• Strong knowledge of concepts and tools including:

o 3D - Modeling, sculpting, animation, lighting, texturing, shading, rendering, compositing.

o Motion Graphics - 2D/3D animated microlearning videos or assets. Building animated content from scratch

o Non-Linear Video Editing - Ingest of live action video media, proxy generation, metatdata tagging/ organization of bins, node-based non-destructive editing, green screen keying and motion tracking.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals.

Desired:

• Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.

• Experience working with Universal Scene Description (USD).

• Experience developing tools in Python or C++

• Experience assisting senior team members with developing pipeline architecture.

• Experience working with production management tools like Jira, Shotgrid/ Flow, or FTrack.

• Game engine experience is a plus.

• Experience with AI platforms (Claude, Llama 3, Stable Diffusion, etc.)

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$51,800-$106,200
