Responsibilities NONAPPROPRIATED FUND POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: OPERATIONS MANAGER BUS TITLE: MULTI-UNIT FOOD CONCEPT MANAGER FLSA STATUS: EXEMPT JOB SERIES: 1101 PAY LEVEL: NF-4 SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The Food Concept Manager reports to the Food and Beverage Director and works closely with individual food outlet managers to ensure the smooth daily operation of both existing and upcoming food outlets. The primary goal is to optimize sales and profitability while delivering an exceptional customer experience. The manager ensures that each outlet complies with operational requirements, maintaining consistent quality in both food offerings and service. Additionally, the manager enforces a "hands-on" management approach, ensuring that outlet managers actively engage in all aspects of food product preparation and sanitation. As the direct supervisor for managers and staff across all MCCS food outlets, the Food Concept Manager is responsible for coaching, training, and developing teams. A key focus is on ensuring that new managers are thoroughly trained in operational processes, franchise standards, and customer service expectations. The manager also oversees the recruitment, hiring, and proper staffing of outlets, ensuring adequate personnel levels to maximize customer service and drive sales. This role is critical in enforcing MCCS policies and maintaining brand standards across all outlets. In collaboration with the MCCS marketing team, the manager executes marketing strategies, manages procurement, and oversees inventory accounting for food and paper supplies. Ensuring adherence to safety and security protocols is another key responsibility. The Food Concept Manager also provides support for MCCS, and installation-wide events as required. The role involves continuous evaluation of operations, offering strategic recommendations to upper management for performance improvements. This includes overseeing the accurate and timely submission of all required business reports and ensuring compliance with regulations, laws, and internal policies. Additionally, the manager assists the Food and Beverage Director with fiscal responsibilities, including the preparation of profit and loss statements, and ensures all necessary records, communications, and documentation are properly maintained Other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor¿s degree in management, business, or other related field or an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above, or appropriate experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above. Must have a minimum of 4 (four) years¿ experience in restaurant, fast-casual, or fast-food management, and experience in food safety. Must have demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple tasks including food, beverage, and labor cost while maintaining standards of operation in daily restaurant activity. Must have the ability to analyze a food business operation and make recommendations for improvement. Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
