We are seeking a skilled multi-trader to join our team, ideally with a strong carpentry background complemented by wet trade skills. While certificates such as CSCS, PASMA, and IPAF are advantageous, they are not essential, as we provide access to relevant courses when needed. The candidate should demonstrate basic construction site knowledge to work safely and efficiently, possess good communication skills with colleagues and clients, and be experienced, hardworking, and capable of working to a high standard independently and on their own initiative. Flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities are essential, as the role covers a broad spectrum of multi-trader and general building trades, including carpentry, groundwork, fixing, tiling, lock changes, mastic work, plastering, fabric repairs, pointing, rendering, spar, brickwork, flooring, fencing and fascia repairs, basic plumbing, and problem investigation with solution proposals. The successful candidate will perform repair and maintenance tasks on doors, furniture, fixtures, and appliances in an effective and timely manner, determine the necessary tools and equipment for each job, and ensure all work is completed within approved budgets. They must attend site inductions, understand and comply with method statements and risk assessments, follow Mitie's QHSE policies, wear all required PPE and uniform at all times, and complete timesheets accurately and promptly. Strong organisational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, a “can do” attitude, good customer service skills, and awareness of health and safety legislation are crucial. The role requires a full driving licence, recognised qualifications or verifiable multi-trader experience, and the ability to communicate effectively with site management and key personnel. Candidates must be honest, trustworthy, conscientious, proactive, self-motivated team players who adhere to company policies and procedures, report any deficiencies in systems or equipment, and use all equipment and PPE properly in accordance with their training.
