About Mitie

Mitie is proud to be in year 21 of the 25-year Armada PFI Contract, delivering Hard and Soft FM services across Naval Base accommodation areas and remote locations. As part of our continued growth, we are expanding our team and seeking experienced Multi-Skilled Engineers to join our newly formed Maintenance/Internal Delivery Cell.

About the Role

As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of works including:

Minor works, small projects, and remedial/reactive tasks Lifecycle and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities Compliance and value-added works General maintenance across accommodation and office spaces

This is a client-facing role, requiring strong spoken English and a professional approach.

Key Responsibilities Carry out multi-trade works including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, decorating, tiling, and building fabric maintenance Support fire door maintenance, PAT testing, and compliance activities Deliver high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced, high-status environment Conduct risk assessments and adhere to Health & Safety regulations Work independently and as part of a rotating compliance cell Attend meetings and liaise with supervisors and clients Person Specification

Essential Experience & Skills:

Proven experience in facilities management Skilled in at least two trades (e.g., painting, carpentry, plumbing, tiling) Strong problem-solving and organisational skills Ability to read schematics and plan workloads Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Key Trade Experience:

Repairs & Maintenance Plumbing Carpentry Bricklaying Electrics Plastering Painting Qualifications

Essential:

Full valid UK driving licence NVQ Level 2 in 2–3 Multi-Trade disciplines City & Guilds 6217 or equivalent

Desirable:

Experience on MOD or military estates Fire Door Maintenance certification PAT Testing qualification
