About this Role
FiberTel is currently looking for an experiencedMulti-State Payroll Leadfor our Springville, UT location.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experiencedMulti-State Payroll Leadto oversee certified payroll compliance for our multi-state government contracts. This key role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing in accordance with prevailing wage requirements and supports broader labor compliance across all active projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of government contract compliance, labor classifications, and certified payroll reporting.
Pay: $26-30/hr, DOE
What You'll Do
Responsibilities:
+ Complete and submit certified payroll reports for all government-funded projects in compliance with Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage regulations.
+ Enter and verify payroll data, including hours worked, job classifications, and wage rates.
+ Ensure accurate employee records and proper project coding across multiple states.
+ Organize, review, and manage weekly timecards for compliance and accuracy.
+ Lead and support the payroll team in day-to-day operations and provide guidance on certified payroll procedures.
+ Oversee the submission and review of certified payroll reports from subcontractors to ensure compliance.
+ Track and report apprentice utilization on projects, ensuring alignment with project-specific requirements and labor compliance standards.
+ Other clerical duties as needed
Additional Duties May Include:
+ Assist with tracking project financials, budgets, and labor cost allocations.
+ Compile payroll and labor cost reports and maintain detailed spreadsheets.
+ Support project scheduling by tracking labor timelines and workforce allocations.
+ Communicate with subcontractors to collect and verify required documentation.
+ Maintain document control and ensure accurate recordkeeping for audits.
+ Assist with general office organization and administrative tasks as needed.
What You'll Bring
Qualifications:
+ Proven experience with certified payroll and Davis-Bacon Act compliance.
+ Knowledge of prevailing wage laws, labor classifications, and apprentice regulations.
+ Familiarity with subcontractor compliance monitoring and reporting.
+ Experience with multi-state payroll processing preferred.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
