We're now looking for a Multi-Skilled Technician (Engineer) to join our Facilities Management team at the Welsh Government BCP site.
Whatyou’ll do:
Maintain, repair, and install critical plant and building systems
Deliver a mix of electrical, mechanical, and general building tasks
Respond to emergency faults and minimise downtime
Work with specialist contractors and integrate their work into site operations
Take ownership of key systems such as BMS, HVAC, fire safety, and boiler control systems
What you bring:
Must-Haves:Recognised qualifications in HVAC (City & Guilds) and/or electrical/mechanical services
Minimum 5 years’ hands-on engineering experience in building maintenance
Confidence diagnosing faults and performing multi-trade repairs
Strong understanding of statutory building requirements and asset lifecycles
Comfortable working with digital systems (PDA/CAFM)
Valid UK driving licence and ability to pass BPSS vetting (inc. DBS)
Bonus Points if You Have:
HNC/HND in an engineering or building services discipline
Asbestos awareness, CSCS certificate, or experience with PDA systems
Additional trade skills or certifications
