JLL is seeking a Multi-Skilled Shift Technician for workplace management operations at a prestigious investment company's London HQ in the City
Provides critical technical support across building systems and facilitiesEnsures seamless operations and exceptional workplace experience for occupiersKey Responsibilities
Technical Maintenance & Operations
Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and fabric maintenanceConduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment to identify potential issuesRespond promptly to building management system alarms and alertsTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficientlyMaintain accurate records of all maintenance activities using computerized maintenance management systemsBuilding Services Management
Monitor and optimize performance of critical building systems (lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, power distribution)Conduct regular checks of plant rooms, riser cupboards, and mechanical equipmentSupport energy management initiatives by monitoring consumption and identifying efficiency improvementsCoordinate with specialist contractors for complex repairs or statutory maintenanceHealth, Safety & Compliance
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, client procedures, and JLL standardsConduct safety checks and assist with fire alarm testing and emergency lighting checksMaintain awareness of building emergency procedures and participate in emergency response protocolsComplete risk assessments and method statements for maintenance tasksClient & Occupier Support
Provide excellent customer service to building occupiersRespond professionally to facilities requests and technical queriesWork collaboratively with the workplace management teamParticipate in regular client meetings and service improvement initiativesMaintain visible presence throughout the facility with proactive problem-solvingShift Operations
Work rotating shift pattern including early mornings, late evenings, and weekend shiftsParticipate in handover procedures to ensure continuity between shiftsRespond to out-of-hours emergencies as part of on-call rotaMaintain high standards of professionalism across all shift patternsRequired Qualifications & Experience
Technical Skills
Recognized trade qualification in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or building services engineeringProven multi-skilled maintenance experience in commercial office environmentsStrong understanding of building management systems, HVAC operations, and electrical/mechanical plantAbility to read technical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance schedulesProfessional Requirements
City & Guilds or equivalent technical certification in relevant disciplinesCurrent health and safety qualifications (working at height, manual handling)18th Edition Wiring Regulations or equivalent mechanical certificationsValid DBS check or willingness to undergo enhanced security screeningPersonal Attributes
