Multi-Skilled Technician
Role Overview
The Multi-Skilled Technician (MST) is responsible for handling day-to-day maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities across multiple technical domains such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and basic civil work. The role ensures smooth operations of building systems and quick resolution of complaints at the site.
Key Responsibilities
1. Electrical Maintenance
Perform routine checks and maintenance of electrical systems (DB panels, lighting, wiring)
Handle minor electrical repairs and breakdowns
Monitor DG sets, UPS systems, and power backup systems
Ensure proper functioning of common area lighting
2. HVAC & Mechanical Systems
Operate and maintain HVAC systems (AHU, FCU, VRV/VRF units)
Monitor temperature and ventilation systems
Assist in preventive maintenance of chillers and AC units
3. Plumbing & Water Systems
Attend plumbing complaints (leakages, blockages, fixture repairs)
Maintain water supply systems, pumps, and pipelines
Monitor STP/ETP operations (if applicable)
4. Civil Maintenance
Carry out minor civil works (patch repairs, painting touch-ups)
Inspect building structure for damages and report issues
Maintain common areas, pathways, and basic infrastructure
5. Complaint Handling
Attend resident/tenant complaints within defined TAT
Ensure proper closure of complaints in the system/logbook
Maintain service quality and customer satisfaction
6. Preventive Maintenance
Follow preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment
Maintain checklists and records
Identify potential issues and take corrective actions
7. Safety & Compliance
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
Use PPE while performing tasks
Ensure equipment is operated safely and efficiently
8. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily logbooks and maintenance records
Report breakdowns, incidents, and major issues to supervisors
Assist in audits and inspections
Skills & Competencies
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and civil work
Troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
Good communication skills
Ability to work in shifts
Customer service orientation
Qualification & Experience
ITI/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical or relevant trade
2–5 years of experience in Facility Management / Building Maintenance
Experience in residential/commercial sites preferred
Working Conditions
Rotational shifts (including night shifts if required)
On-call availability for emergencies
Work involves physical activity and site movement
