The MRO Logistic Engineer will support Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) operations by managing logistics processes, ensuring seamless material flow, and optimizing supply chain activities. Working within the Global Engineering Centre , this role focuses on improving efficiency, managing inventory, and coordinating with key stakeholders to meet operational goals.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, technical understanding of logistics, and a proactive approach to delivering effective MRO support solutions.
Key Responsibilities:Logistics and Inventory Management:
Manage inbound and outbound logistics processes to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials for MRO operations.Monitor and optimize inventory levels, reducing downtime and improving resource availability.Analyze demand trends to ensure appropriate stock availability for maintenance and repair activities.Supply Chain Coordination:
Collaborate with suppliers, procurement teams, and internal stakeholders to address material shortages and delays.Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards and client-specific logistics requirements.Facilitate accurate tracking of shipments and timely resolution of delivery-related issues.Process Improvement:
Identify and implement improvements in logistics workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.Develop metrics and reports to measure logistics performance and identify areas for improvement.Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain accurate records of material movements, shipping documentation, and inventory transactions.Ensure adherence to applicable regulations, quality standards, and MRO process requirements.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to align logistics activities with project timelines.Support audits, customer reviews, and inspections related to logistics and supply chain processes.Problem Resolution:
Address logistics-related challenges, such as material delays, non-conformances, or inventory discrepancies, with a solution-focused mindset.Proactively communicate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and schedules.Work Experience
Required Skills and Experience
Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.1-4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or MRO support roles.Understanding of logistics processes, inventory management principles, and supply chain coordination.Proficiency in logistics tools and systems (e.g., SAP, ERP systems).Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and recommend improvements.Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Preferred Skills:Experience in the aerospace industry or MRO operations.Knowledge of industry-specific standards and compliance requirements.Exposure to lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices.Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
