As an MRI Technologist, you will perform routine MRI exams and procedures on patients of all ages, health backgrounds and conditions. You will ensure they feel comfortable, safe and properly informed throughout the entire process, helping facilitate a welcoming and supportive experience. In this role, you have access to a unique avenue in which to enhance your skills using the latest technologies and leave a positive lasting impression on patients every day.
This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working various shifts anywhere between 12:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m. with weekend requirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Acquire and review patient questionnaire, chart and data/requisition to determine contraindication of having MRI examination.
Perform MRI procedures required per protocol and perform daily QA.
Educate patients regarding MRI procedures, equipment, and exams.
Ensure patients' comfort and safety during and after the exam.
Report any malfunctions and observe potential equipment dysfunctions and report problems or calls for service.
Operate MRI scanners to capture detailed images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes.
Maintain available equipment of the highest level for patient accessibility.
Processes billing via RIS.
Instruct and mentor new hires and Radiology students.
Attend in-service programs and professional affiliation sessions.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT
Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists [R.T.(R) (ARRT), R.T.(S)(ARRT) or R.T.(T)(ARRT)] in good standing OR Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists [R.T.(N) (ARRT)] OR Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
Magnetic Resonance Imaging [R.T.(MR)(ARRT)] Certification within one year of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist or in other imaging modalities

Physical Requirements:
Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
Requires frequent pushing and pulling of equipment up to 75 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
