Responsible for creating cross-sectional images of patient's body for diagnostic purposes, using magnetic resonance imaging equipment. 


Principal Accountabilities:

 

. Performs all aspects of MRI imaging. Able to utilize the 1.5T / 3T magnet to perform all necessary MRI procedures per department and Hospital protocols. Makes and effort to learn and/or know MRI pathology, able to communicate this to the Radiologist as necessary. Images patients using the CMC patient identification policy prior to imaging.  Performs Clinical MRI examinations: Scans patients according to set protocols and radiologist special requests. Identifies patients using Patient Identification Policy. Presents examinations to radiologist for interpretation. Ensures proper tracking in RIS by the staff. Makes all efforts to understand MRI pathology, why the examination is being performed and is able to discuss with the Radiologist
