You'll utilize your expertise to perform a wide range of routine and specialized MRI procedures, meticulously preparing exam rooms, integrating patient histories, and adapting exams to ensure the highest quality images. Your keen eye and ability to recognize abnormalities will be vital in ensuring additional studies are applied when necessary. Beyond the technical aspects, you'll be a source of patient education, providing clear instructions and empathetic support, and even contribute to training and educating staff and students. The salary range for this position is **$45.42 – $67.85** per hour, with the hiring rate determined by several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc. Plus, a 15% differential is available in lieu of benefits. As a per diem caregiver, you'll also have access to perks designed for your overall well-being, including: + 403b retirement plan for caregiver contributions: Secure your future with our retirement savings program. + Wellness benefits: We support your health journey with various wellness resources. + Discount program: Enjoy exclusive discounts on a variety of products and services. + Expanded EAP and mental health program: Your mental well-being is a priority, and we offer robust support. **Key Responsibilities: Your Daily Impact** + Prepare, supply and equip exam room to meet the needs of requested examinations and to meet specific physician requirements for procedures. + Organizes daily work schedule and performs related clerical duties as required. + Integrates previous imaging studies, laboratory results, patient history and medical records to optimize exam. + Perform most appropriate examination based on patient information through consultation with interpreting physician and/or ordering physician as necessary. + Provides patient education and instruction prior to and after examination. Provide training/education to staff and students as indicated. + Demonstrates ability to adapt exam to address problems of patient care as they arise making decisions to appropriately resolve problems. Recognizes and ensures additional study and examination techniques are applied when abnormalities are present. + Operates MRI scanner for data acquisition, reconstruction and documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images. + Applies the ACR Guidance Document for Safe MR Practices to ensure patient, visitor and caregiver safety. + Performs other patient care activities, duties and responsibilities as assigned consistent with Caregivers’ scope of practice, training, experience and license/certification/registration. + Performs other duties as assigned. **Skills & Qualifications: What You Bring** + Accredited School of Radiologic Technology or equivalent education/experience required for state certification/license/registration. + Minimum of 1 year of previous experience preferred. + Demonstrated venipuncture competency + Demonstrated knowledge of radiologic and MRI terminology, practices, procedures, physiology, and human cross-sectional anatomy + Demonstrated competency in computer-based programs related to MR applications + PACS/RIS knowledge + Required Upon Hire: ARRT - Radiography, _OR_ ARRT - Magnetic Resonance Imaging, _OR_ ARRT - Sonography, _OR_ Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist, _OR_ American Registry of MRI Technologists Certification. + ARRT (MR) certification is required within one year of hire (except for ARMRIT Technologists). + Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support (BLS). + Registered with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI).
