Job Description
Perform advanced research techniques and procedures within a Core-specific science area. Provide day-to-day supervision of specialized Core facilities, maintain Core financial records and databases for tracking invoicing and customer usage, and provide timely technical support to user groups. Maintain and service instrumentation while supporting the implementation of new techniques and improvements in technology to keep the Core competitive and state-of-the-art. Support the Center Director and staff in establishing, updating, and implementing safety and operating protocols.
ResponsibilitiesSupervise specialized Core facilities on a daily basis.Maintain financial records and databases for Core tracking and invoicing.Provide technical support to user groups in a timely manner.Service and maintain laboratory instrumentation.Support the implementation of new techniques and technological improvements.Assist in establishing and updating safety and operating protocols.Essential SkillsDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.High level of knowledge in cross-sectional anatomy.Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.Strong organizational skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications9+ months experience required.Laboratory and troubleshooting skills.Experience with magnetic resonance.Certification such as CRT, ARRT, or ARMRIT.Work Environment
Work involves interaction with pediatrics aged 3-5 years old. The position is a Per Diem role with open availability for scheduling, requiring a minimum of 2 days a week, up to a maximum of 4 days, including weekend shifts. The laboratory operates from 8 AM to 8 PM. Initially, the role will cover for the main per diem technician on leave until the end of October, with potential extension based on workload. The lab is currently looking to expand.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
