We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell MV-75, Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We also support V-22 production deliveries, modifications / upgrades on V-22 and H-1 programs, major assemblies for Virgin Galactic Orbiter,as well as production of the near-certification Bell 525 Relentless.

MRB Engineers, Amarillo Liaison Engineering Organization:
This team works closely with all engineering support and design groups, including Airframe Structures, Stress, Fatigue, Material and Processes to support the evaluation and disposition of non-conforming product in accordance with Material Review Board (MRB) policies and procedures.
Successful candidates will work closely with production area supervisors and managers.
This role will ensure compliance with design requirements, including customer specifications, military and industry standards and Bell specifications, policies and procedures.
What you’ll be doing as an MRB Liaison Engineer, Amarillo, TX:
Candidate will develop first-time quality, timely and cost-effective engineering dispositions for nonconforming components and assemblies that do not meet design requirements through Bell’s approved MRB process.Responsibility includes non-conformances encountered or identified for the first time at a supplier or during fabrication, installation, or assembly.Provide Engineering cross-functional support and design interpretation to manufacturing/production teams along with product improvement initiatives.As a member of the MRB team, signoff as the engineering authority on dispositions, including Repair (RPR), Use As Is (UAI) as well as provide guidance for rework (return to design intent) for nonconformance activity.Support the development, maintenance and compliance with Bell Policies Procedures related to Amarillo Production support activities.Once certification is achieved, serve as a mentor and/or be prepared to train additional engineers to aid in organizational growth.Support Root Cause/Corrective Action activity, including the investigation of defective, damaged, non-conforming or malfunctioning parts, assemblies, systems or equipment to determine cause of the problem and to prevent recurrence.We’re more than aviation experts, we’re pioneers. Must be a proven self-starter requiring minimal supervision, with excellent foresight, communication, and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated ability to become a Bell MRB member and be certified to disposition non-conforming parts (composite, metallic, bonded panels, welded, castings, forgings and other components) to include the design of repairs to ensure fit / form / function at the next higher assembly and overall product integrity are maintained.Demonstrated ability to become a member of the Planning Review Board and be responsible for reviewing and approving fabrication planning as well as providing dispositions for items that are designated as Controlled Items (Fatigue, Primary, Critical, Flight Safety and Critical Safety Items).Ability to work with various Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality and Design personnel to support diverse manufacturing, assembly, integration and/or Flight Test environments.An ability to effectively communicate between other Engineering disciplines, Quality, Materials, Manufacturing and Suppliers, relative to clear, executable repair schemes and engineering solutions to production problems.What you need to be successful:
Bachelor’s degree with a Major in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or similar Engineering degree.At least 5 years of engineering experience in aircraft production support or airframe design.Prior Material Review Board experience is preferredPrior MRB certification preferred. Must be able to work on site in Bell’s Amarillo, TX facilities.What we offer you in return:
