Mountain Outfitters Supervisor (Winter)

As the Mountain Outfitters Supervisor, you will play a key leadership role in supporting the Manager with the day-to-day operations of the rental shop, café, and repair shop. You’ll lead a dynamic team to deliver an exceptional guest experience, ensuring smooth, efficient service across all areas. You’re a friendly, knowledgeable, and solution-oriented individual with strong leadership and organizational skills.

 

Essential functions: 

Provide hands-on leadership and daily guidance to front-line staff. Train and support staff on company procedures, policies, and customer service standards. Oversee daily operations to ensure an efficient, welcoming, and safe environment for all guests. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace. Confidently operate POS systems and ensure accurate transaction handling. Monitor inventory and restock supplies as needed. Quickly address and resolve service or product issues to maintain guest satisfaction. Develop in-depth product knowledge to assist guests and support team training. Collaborate with internal departments and external suppliers to meet team and company goals. Lead morning briefings, communicating daily updates and special requirements. Handle guest concerns or complaints in a calm, courteous, and professional manner. Perform daily tasks such as merchandising, cleaning, checklists, and restocking. Assist with preparing and serving a wide range of products, from ski gear to food and alcohol.

 

Qualifications & Experience

Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team motivation and customer satisfaction. Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred. Experience in a rental shop or ski industry is a strong asset. Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills. Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods. Clear and effective communicator, both verbal and written. Comfortable using computers and learning new software systems. Proven experience with cash handling and basic financial reporting. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Previous food and beverage experience an asset. Must have (or be willing to obtain): Serving It Right certification Food Safe certification Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in British Columbia
