**Job Description** Mount Sinai Health System is Hosting Walk-In Wednesdays for Patient Care Associates and Nursing Attendants Date: August 20th Location + Mount Sinai Hospital + Time: 11a - 1p + Location: 1468 Madison Ave + Conference Room: GP 10 Center, 271 + Mount Sinai Morningside + Time: 10am -2pm + Location: 419 W 114 th street + Conference Room: MSM P1 Executive Conference Room, P1-100 + Mount Sinai West + Time: 10am -2pm + Location: 1000 10 th Ave + Conference room: Physician Lounge near cafeteria on 1st floor **Qualifications** **Nursing Attendant** **Qualifications:** + High School Diploma or equivalent. + Completed training as a medical assistant or nursing assistant or equivalent training or experience. + Prefer relevant experience in an inpatient health care setting. + American Heart Association Heartsaver Certification required; BCLS is accepted. **Patient Care Associate** **Qualifications** + High School Diploma (graduate or equivalent) + Certificate of completion of a medical assistant/patient care assistant program/equivalent with skills in venipuncture and EKG + Interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate effectively with other members of the Specialty Service. + Documentation of Medical Assistant/Patient Care Associate training or equivalent + Three to nine months of healthcare experience preferred. + Ability to set priorities, problem solve, use proper judgement in difficult situations and be flexible + Sufficient oral and writing skills in the English language in order to communicate effectively. + Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform a variety of tasks and skills in the area of assignment + American Heart Association Heartsaver. BLS Certification accepted. **Responsibilities** **Nursing Attendant** The Nursing Attendant is an individual who functions in a support role to the Registered Professional Nurse by providing direct patient care and related activities as assigned. **Patient Care Associate** As an integral part of the clinical care team, the Patient Care Associate is responsible for patient care and support activities promoting patient focused care within the Specialty Service.
