Job Description

Bosch Engineering GmbH is a subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH operating internationally. Our service areas include drive systems, motor sports, e-mobility, E/E integration, test services, process consultation, sensor systems, and safety and comfort areas. With a dynamic team, we develop customized solutions for sports cars and commercial vehicles, as well as for vehicles from the power sport, aviation, and watercraft areas, based on innovative, high-tech products from Bosch.

As a Motorsport Engineer Intern within the team, you will be responsible for:

Assisting current Motorsport Engineers in technical support and project coordination for customers;Providing extra support to the customer with troubleshooting, system start up, test and racetrack support; Aiding the Engineers with commercial processes and the acquisition of new projects;System design for Motorsport projects on the engine and chassis sides;Configuration of the Bosch Motorsport electronics (display, body computer, logging system);Calibration of ECU/VCU and other Bosch Motorsport hardware.

QualificationsStudying Automotive, motorsport or mechanical undergraduate engineering degree (Achieving 2:1or higher) and required to take a placement as part of your course.Knowledge of engine hardware, combustion theory and thermodynamics for high-performance engines.Knowledge of direct injection and spark topics.Knowledge of network communication (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, Etc).Good presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.Assertiveness, ready to work under pressure and good organization.Fluent in English.Readiness to travel in UK and worldwide, readiness to work on weekends if required.

Additional Information

This is a 12-month internship beginning in July 2026. This position is open to undergraduate students who are required to partake in a work placement as part of their course.

Location: you will be based at the Mira, Nuneaton office.

Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to participate in a face-to-face interview by the hiring team and/or an online assessment centre.

You must have the right to live and work in the UK when you start your placement and for the full duration of your placement. Please note your placement must be directly relevant to your course to comply with visa requirements.
