Motor Damage and Bodily Injury Claims Handler

Key roles 

This position is within the Motor Division and will include both the desk-top administration, investigation, and negotiation of a portfolio of motor claims and the handling of complaints, on behalf of a key motor client. 

 

Specific responsibilities (including but not limited to) 

Proactive end to end management of a portfolio of 150+ bodily injury and third party motor damage files with specific closure and quality targets 

Previous complaint handling experience would be advantageous together with familiarity of the CPC requirements. 

Desktop Liability investigation and determination 

Proactive investigation and settlement of claims in expedient and compliant manner 

Management of suppliers/vendors 

Provide an excellent customer service to our client 

Work as part of a team, liaising with the client and other departments 

Represent the business in a professional and positive manner at all times 

Maintain a positive attitude when faced with challenging circumstances and changing business needs 

Be flexible with time and willing to get involved in other areas of the business as requested by management, including travelling to other locations if necessary. 

 

Qualifications/skills 

CIP qualification in insurance 

Experience handling bodily injury and third party motor damage claims is essential 

An excellent understanding of the PIAB and litigation process 

Decision making skills and sound numeric skills required 

High level interpersonal and communication (verbal/written) skills 

Experience working in a dynamic environment 

Highly motivated, proactive and with excellent influential skills to influence both internally and externally 

Problem solving ability 

Client orientated and a willingness to meet and understand the client’s needs 

Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy 

Possess excellent negotiating skills. 

 

Experience 

Minimum 5 years bodily injury and third party motor damage claims handling experience essential
