You may review, modify, or update your information by visiting and logging into the careers section of the system. **Job Description:** At Regions, the Community Mortgage Loan Officer establishes relationships with nonprofit housing groups, state and local housing offices, and community-based affordable housing organizations to generate and increase mortgage lending opportunities - particularly opportunities that support Regions’ efforts to meet its goals relating to the Community Reinvestment Act (“CRA”) and underserved consumers. This role will focus on originating residential mortgage loans to consumers with low-to-moderate income (as identified by the Department of Urban Housing and Development) and/or secured by property located in low-to-moderate income census tracts. This will include outside sales efforts and use of Regions’ network of branches. Responsibilities include qualifying customers, submitting applications, and facilitating essential communication between parties throughout the process. **Primary Responsibilities** + Increases mortgage loan volume, primarily focusing on underserved communities and low-to-moderate income consumers and geographies, through effective selling + Promotes the Bank’s CRA efforts and generates residential mortgages in targeted areas + Establishes relationships with nonprofit housing groups, state and local housing offices, and community based affordable housing organizations to generate and increase CRA mortgage opportunities within targeted areas + Partners with state, local and county down-payment-assistance programs + Represents the bank at educational seminars, workshops, and housing programs with state and local, and non-profit housing organizations + Advises customers on the mortgage loans that are appropriate for their individual financial circumstances + Develops leadership abilities in the community when it comes to mortgages and mortgage knowledge + Builds and deepens relationships with industry-specific centers of influence, such as real estate agents and contractors + Maximizes the bank’s resources to assist in selling and establishing relationships + Cross-sells bank products at each mortgage closing + Structures loan to comply with acceptable lending practices and Federal regulations + Complies with all appropriate bank policies and regulatory guidelines This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position is incentive eligible. This position requires registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS). Please refer to https://fedregistry.nationwidelicensingsystem.org for more information. **Requirements** + High School Diploma or GED + One (1) year of mortgage lending experience with proven mortgage production **Preferences** + Bachelor's degree + Prior mortgage experience in developing external business relationships **Skills and Competencies** + Good organizational skills + Knowledgeable of Mortgage products, systems, terminology, tax requirements, down payment assistance programs, etc. + Knowledgeable on agency and investor regulations and guidelines + Must be able to build and maintain internal and external relationships to deliver high levels of service + Must be able to multi-task competing priorities and meet tight deadlines + Proficient in Microsoft Office products + Sales acumen + Strong written and verbal communication skills + **Positions may be available in other cities within Florida.** + **Strong preference for MLOs with recent proven production 10M or greater annually.** **Position Type** Full time **Compensation Details** Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job. The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position. **Job Range Target:** **_Minimum:_** $46,000.50 USD **_Median:_** $55,920.00 USD **Incentive Pay Plans:** This role is eligible to participate in a commission incentive plan.
